Yin and Yang

Arguably, the two most famous women of the 1950's, and each one's only real rival as superstars and sex symbols. Only one made crazy work for her, rather than against her.

  1. The only photo of them together or in the same room seems to be that shot at a Sinatra gig about 1961 (on my own blog). Guess they were jealous of each other - they did share Monty Clift though who would tell them what the other said on his visits to them, and MM did want to get Liz off the world's magazine covers with her nude swim back in 62 as Cleo over-ran in Rome and she wasn't showing up for her own Fox movie ...

  2. Two amazing beauties. One dark, one light. Just like my sister and I.
One very aware of her beauty and talent, and the other struggling, always struggling with it. These two women made going to the movies such fun. I'm glad that Elizabeth hung on to her glory and is still with us.

  3. I couldn't have said it better jiva. Both are incredible, but I have a special place in my heart for Liz. What a gal.
